Mario was a rescue gift from the country of Argentina, given to Shorty for his works with the pit bulls in the USA. Shorty was filming promos for Animal Planet Latino when he was given Mario.

Mario is a Dogo Argentino, a breed which has the same problems with the media in Argentina that the pit bulls have in the USA. Mario was supposed to be Shorty’s ‘Next Top Dog,’ but due to protection issues, he lives ‘the life’ in Shorty’s house in Mexico.

His favorite sidekicks in Shorty’s pack are Sophia, Bebi, Athena, and Nicola. A true ladies man. Mario is also a lap dog and loves stealing Beer out of the refrigerator.
